Come along to our Julia Donaldson Discovery Stay and Play session, suitable for children aged 2-4 and their parents on Friday 31st January.
Experience learning at Orwell Park School, with exciting activities including art, music and sensory play. All activities will be themed on Julia Donaldson's popular rhyming stories for children!

Dinner and Dance
We are delighted to invite you to a very special Dinner Dance Night on Friday, 7th March, an evening to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. This event will also be held in aid of our three school charities, making it a meaningful and memorable occasion filled with great food, music, and dancing!
Event Details:
Date: Friday, 7th March
Arrival: 6:45pm for a welcome drink
Dinner: A delicious curry will be served, followed by dancing
Drinks: Bring your own choice of beverage!
Entertainment: The fabulous Bob Airzee's Swing Machine Big Band will provide live music
Dress Code: Period attire (optional!)
Raffle: Take part to win exciting prizes
Tickets are priced at £30 per person.
Angie will be on hand to guide you through the dances, ensuring everyone can join in the fun, whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner!

Come and spend the morning in our Forest School at Orwell Park for a Swallows and Amazons themed Stay and Play session, suitable for children aged 2-4 and their parents!

A Night At The Observatory
Join us for an enchanting evening under the stars at Orwell Park to experience the magic of our Observatory!
This event is suitable for pupils aged 8-13 and their parents, you will have the opportunity to attend an academic lesson alongside your child as well as the chance to stargaze through our very own Telescope, located in our Observatory overlooking the River Orwell.
Sessions include:
Stargazing through the Tomline Refractor with Mr Haile, Head of Science
Make Sundials with Mr Early, Head of DT
An exciting English lesson with Mrs Lamble, Head of English.

Ready for Reception
We know that the exciting milestone of starting school comes with lots of questions so this event is designed to arm you with heaps of information. We will firstly introduce you to all the wonderful things your child will experience when you choose for them to join Orwell Park School Reception, secondly, we will provide some overall guidance on what you can do in preparing your child.
There will be the opportunity to hear from our Senior Management Team as well as other key members of the Lower Prep teaching staff and additionally there will be hands on demonstrations for you and your child to see how learning is approached in Reception and what is included in the curriculum. We will also explain how the Admissions Process works.

Ready for Reception
Come along to our Ready for Reception morning at Orwell Park Pre-Prep.
Starting school is an exciting milestone for children and we hope that the morning will provide overall guidance and answer any questions you may have about Reception for September 2024.
We will start with talks from the Headmaster and teachers covering what we offer at Orwell Park, the Early Years curriculum and how you can help prepare your child for starting school. There will also be tours of the Pre-Prep so that you can see Reception and Years 1-2 on a typical school day.

Summer Sports Camps
Join us for Summer Sports Camp at Orwell Park!
This is a multi-sport camp so it will include a range of sports (Cricket, Hockey, Netball, Golf, Basketball, Dodgeball, Tennis & Squash).

Proms in the Park - Coronation Proms
The audience is invited to picnic in the park whilst being serenaded by enchanting music. As evening falls, Handmade Opera’s fabulous singers and orchestra perform two stunning comic operas on the floodlit stage with the Orwell Estuary at twilight providing an atmospheric backdrop. It is the chance to indulge in the perfect mix of alfresco eating and open-air music plus joining in with a family favourites singalong.
The first half will be the Gilbert and Sullivan Operetta ‘Cox and Box’, performed by professional opera company Handmade Opera, with the choruses sung by children from Years 3 to 6 and Chapel Choir.
The second half will be a range of British classics old and new, with great singalongs such as ‘Rule Britannia’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory’, amongst other favourites. The School choirs will also sing a Beatles medley, arranged and conducted by Orwell Park’s Director of Music, Tom Stapleton.
Gates open at 4.45pm and close at 9.00pm. Guests are invited to bring their own picnics, rugs and seating. There will also be onsite food and drink stalls providing ‘fizz and finger food’.
In the event of rain, the event will move indoors.
