Blueys & Goldies

< Back to Co-Curriculum

Goldies (girls) and Blueys (boys) meet every Tuesday evening after tea. Sometimes as one big group, at others as two separate groups, they undertake a range of activities. These have included handling exotic animals, enjoying a free swim in the school pool, completing treasure hunts, making Christmas decorations, and toasting marshmallows while telling stories in the woods.

The majority of Middle School children are members and it is hard to miss them as they converge on the dining room in their eye-catching yellow and blue hoodies. The groups foster a sense of belonging and encourage the year groups to mix.

Older children often take the lead in activities and act as role models for the younger girls and boys. When they see Goldies and Blueys enjoying themselves with friends old and new, members of the Senior School often wax nostalgic, full of stories of their time in the groups.
