Drama is a big part of the co-curricular offer at Orwell Park. Pupils from the Pre-Prep all the way through to Year 8 have many opportunities to participate in drama productions, from the Pre-Prep Nativity to the Prep School’s annual production. Recent productions include Aladdin (Pre-Prep), which was live-streamed to parents at home, and Bugsy Malone (Prep) which took place prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 2022 production is Shrek The Musical.
Productions in the Prep School take place on a purpose built stage in our Sports Hall, and we now have the opportunity for pupils to take LAMDA lessons to boost their confidence and proficiency in acting and performance.
Dramatic success at Orwell is considerable, with pupils regularly obtaining performing arts scholarships at senior schools.
