First matches live streamed to parents

Cricket matches taking place at Orwell Park this afternoon are being live streamed to parents for the first time

Parents can now watch matches live streamed via the School’s secure digital portal. Today (Wednesday 5 May 2021) the Under 12 A match against South Lee was streamed to OPS parents via three camera angles – a wired camera close up for the scoreboard, a network camera providing a wide angle shot, and a wireless network camera in the middle of the pitch catching the action from the umpire’s perspective.

Currently this is the only means by which parents can see matches owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. Alongside OPS Online, this is just one of many initiatives by OPS to ensure Prep school life can continue as normal.

Head of Digital Strategy Mr Horton (pictured below) operates the live stream.
