Welcome back to all our boarding pupils, who arrived last night, and our day pupils who returned to School this morning! We hope you all had a restful Easter break and we are delighted to welcome you all back for the Summer Term.
Some exciting updates for the term to come:
- Our historic pavilion is receiving a much needed makeover from our in-house team and we hope that it will be completed soon after the start of term
- This term’s Blue Book is now available to view online
- Highlights for the coming weeks include the School Commemoration Service, Battle of the Bands, the Desert Rats Memorial Service and the OPS Challenge
- Upcoming Orangery Lectures include Animal Rights, The Ethics of Technology:Self–Driving Cars, Prison –Confined, but not defined by it, and much more.
This term’s value is Spirit. The sad passing of His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh, has led to much reflection about someone who has represented permanence and stability over the last 70 years as the Queen’s consort. He embodied many of the core elements of Spirit: enthusiasm, joy, curiosity, gratitude, hope and reflection. It is with this in mind that we approach a new term with all its new challenges and opportunities.
