Film crew take up residence!

Great excitement at school last week with the arrival of a film crew. Orwell Park had been chosen as the setting for the School in the forthcoming movie “School’s Out Forever”. OPS became St Mark’s school for boys which caused not a little confusion in the area!

The film is an adaptation of a teen action novel published by Rebellion – video games and IP company, owners of 2000AD. It’s the first of a trilogy. School’s Out Forever is a kind of Lord of the Flies tale told against a post-plague backdrop and set almost entirely in a rural English boarding school. The first installment of a trilogy from Scott K. Andrews, “School’s Out Forever” follows a 15-year-old who flees to his school as a safe haven after an apocalyptic event wipes out most of the world’s population. It’s one of many stories set within a fictional world that Rebellion created under the banner of The Afterblight Chronicles. Think of the Marvel Universe but without superheroes. And the world has ended…
