Saturday 16th March 2019 – A talk for Parents at Orwell Park. “A collaborative approach to children’s mental health & wellbeing” by Dr Hazel Harrison.
The wellbeing of pupils is our highest priority and we believe that parents, staff and children must work together towards becoming the best that we can be. We have done much to weave the values of Kindness, Collaboration, Courage, Spirit and Respect through the fabric of our community and this task is ongoing.
Many parents will know of Huddl, a Suffolk-borne organisation offering support for all parents and carers, giving them access to practical tools and inspirational events to help deal with their ever-changing role; creating a community of mutual support, compassion and learning. As we know, each family has a unique journey and needs a range of tools along the way. Huddl provides a platform with easily accessible and up-to-date professional advice so that parents and teachers can help their children and young people with the pressures of growing up. Huddl’s aims and values align closely with those of our school community and so we will be working closely with them to provide our parents with access to the best advice, guidance and resources available to help them with their parenting journey.
On the morning of Saturday 16th March 2019 we will hold our first Huddl Parent Talk, “A collaborative approach to supporting children’s mental health & wellbeing” by Dr Hazel Harrison. Free tickets are available at our Orwell Park Huddl Hub http://www.huddl.uk/orwell-park-school/
Orwell Park parents and carers have been given a password, which they will need to access access to all our Huddl information, resources and event booking facilities. The password was sent out in a letter by Mr Besley but if anyone needs reminding of it then please contact the School Office or just ask at Reception when you are next in school.
