Facing the World Ambassdor
We were privileged to be visited this morning by Robert Portal, Ambassador for one of our chosen charities this term, Facing the World. Robert, who is perhaps better known as an actor who has appeared in The King’s Speech, My Week with Marilyn, and The Iron Lady, is an advocate for this inspirational charity which is the UK registered medical charity creating sustainable solutions for children in developing countries who have severe craniofacial defects. The charity also trains local surgical teams, providing multidisciplinary surgical treatment, and donating necessary equipment. Robert has recently completed the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge – rowing the Atlantic Ocean in 63 days and raising over £350,00 for the charity. Robert spoke to both the Prep School and Pre-Prep pupils about the charity and its work.
