General Sir Adrian Bradshaw (SACEUR)

We were proud to welcome to the school today General Sir Adrian Bradshaw, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), and representatives from the Desert Rats Association for an act of remembrance for the Desert Rats who were stationed at Orwell Park during the war in preparation for the Normandy Landings.  Sir Adrian paid tribute to the Desert Rats and all branches of the military for the sacrifices they made to keep us safe, and that the formation of NATO was crucial to making sure that we maintain peace in Europe.  We were also privileged to be joined by Desert Rats who had actually been stationed at Orwell Park, one of whom was 100 years old.
